Why This Site Exists
The AI companion market grew rapidly starting in 2022 and 2023. By 2026, dozens of platforms compete for attention with overlapping claims, variable pricing transparency, and significant differences in privacy practice that most review sites don't examine carefully. We built this site to provide the kind of analysis that actually helps adults decide whether a platform is worth their time and money.
Our Testing Methodology
Every platform we review is tested directly:
- We create accounts (free and paid tiers) and use the platform as a typical user would
- We evaluate conversation quality across multiple session types
- We compare actual features against marketing claims
- We verify all pricing against live platform data before publishing
- We assess privacy policies against third-party ratings including Mozilla's Privacy Not Included
Review updates happen at minimum quarterly. AI platform pricing changes frequently and feature updates occur without notice. If we find our published data is outdated, we update it.
